What we do in Welwyn Hatfield
Hatfield has a large rental market around the University of Hertfordshire, so tenancy changes are a big share of the work here: every new tenancy is a reason to make the old keys useless. Welwyn Garden City adds planned garden-city housing and newer developments, with a wide mix of door types.
Wherever the door locks with a euro cylinder, we replace it with an Avocet ABS — TS007 3-star and Sold Secure Diamond — and hand over three keys and an itemised invoice naming the product and rating, ready for your landlord file or insurer.
A common Welwyn Hatfield job
Shared houses often have a street door plus lockable bedroom doors. Tell us which doors you mean when you book — we quote £149 per euro cylinder.

Why ABS in Welwyn Hatfield
Snap attacks do not discriminate by postcode, but the housing stock decides which doors are exposed. Whether you have a Victorian timber door, a uPVC back door or a composite door on a new-build flat, the euro cylinder is what holds it shut. We replace it with an Avocet ABS — rated TS007 3-star on its own, so the door meets the standard whatever handle is fitted. Not sure what the stars mean? Read TS007 3-star explained.
What it costs
£149 flat for a planned booking. Cylinder, fitting, three keys, written invoice — all included. No callout fee, no per-minute labour, no upsell on the doorstep. For how that compares with typical London prices, see our lock change cost guide.
