Why change locks between tenants
There’s no specific legal requirement in England, but previous tenants (and anyone they gave keys to) can still open the door until the cylinder changes. Changing it protects the new tenant, your property and your position with your insurer. We explain the detail in do landlords have to change the locks?
What you get for £149
- An Avocet ABS cylinder sized to the door — TS007 3-star on its own, so it doesn’t depend on the handle.
- Three keys, handed to whoever you nominate.
- An itemised invoice naming the property, door, product and ratings.
- No callout fee, no hourly labour, no upsell.
