What we do in Barnet
Barnet is a large outer-London borough with predominantly suburban housing — semi-detached and detached homes with composite or hardwood front doors, often fitted with a euro cylinder and multipoint locking strip. A standard cylinder in this configuration is the single point of failure. ABS removes it.
We cover EN4, EN5, the Finchley postcodes (N2, N3, N12), Hendon and Edgware (NW4, HA8) and the Mill Hill area (NW7). Same-day appointments are the norm. Stock kept on the van for the most common cylinder lengths so we rarely need a return visit.
A common Barnet job
Composite doors in Barnet new-builds frequently come with a TS007 1-star cylinder by default — meaning the door is rated 1-star without a 2-star handle. Swap to a 3-star ABS and the cylinder alone passes British Standard.

Why ABS — even more relevant in Barnet
The London snap-attack method does not discriminate by borough — but the housing stock does affect which doors are most exposed. Whether you have a Victorian timber front door, a uPVC back door, or a composite door on a new-build flat, the euro cylinder is what holds it shut. We replace it with the only cylinder rated 3-star against snap, bump, pick and drill attack independently: Avocet ABS.
What it costs
£149 flat. Cylinder, fitting, three keys, written invoice — all included. No callout fee, no per-minute labour, no upsell on the doorstep. The price you read is the price you pay.
Who we work with in Barnet
Three jobs make up almost all our Barnet work: landlords doing tenancy-change lock changes, tenants wanting their own keys after moving in, and homeowners upgrading from a generic cylinder to a 3-star ABS. If your job is one of those three, email us with your postcode and door type — we’ll come back within 2 hours with a slot.
