What we do
We replace the euro-profile cylinder on residential doors across North & Central London with the Avocet ABS 3-star Kitemarked cylinder. £149 flat — cylinder, fitting and three keys included. That is the entire service.
We don’t do emergency lockouts. We don’t cut car keys. We don’t open safes. We don’t fit smart locks. We don’t carry alternate brands. We do one thing, properly, and refer you elsewhere if your job isn’t that one thing.
Who we work with
Three customer types make up almost all our work:
- Landlords changing locks between tenancies — old keys made worthless, insurance-grade cylinder fitted, itemised invoice for the property file.
- Tenants who’ve just moved into a new flat or house and want the previous occupant’s keys to no longer open their door.
- Homeowners upgrading a generic euro cylinder to a 3-star ABS — usually because the door looks vulnerable, the insurer asked, or you’ve read about lock-snap attacks.
Why this approach
The lock-change market in London is broken in a specific way. Most callouts arrive unquoted, fit a 1-star cylinder, charge for ‘labour by the hour’, and leave. Six months later the cylinder snaps under attack — because it was always going to.
The fix is not better marketing. It’s a different product, a different process, and a different kind of conversation. We quote in advance, we fit the only cylinder that meets the standard alone, and we tell you exactly what you’ve received in writing.
